This is an ear of Science and technology where evidence based diagnosis is hallmark of good health care system. GINUM, being a part of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), in this regard is providing specialized medical facilities in the region at international standards. It is one of the 18th medical centers which cover more than 20 millions population from the surrounding districts. In Phase-I more emphasis has been given on diagnostic facilities. Phase-II will provide upgraded diagnostic and therapeutics facilities including CT, Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine facilities Radiation Therapy and indoor facilities for treatment of cancer patients.

Nuclear Medicine Department
CPWS has completed its first tenure (each three years) i.e. from 2010-12 and second is about to complete. Being a local organization for the people of Gujranwala Division, CPWS is working for the suffering people without any prejudice with the help of donations from well off people. This association Of people to people is being well maintained with fair and open resources and procedures adopted by office bearers in order to gain the confidence and trust of good peoples for cancer patients.

Oncology Department
Oncology Department is dedicated to provide highest quality of patient care. We have state of the art chemo bay in which chemotherapy is administered for cancer treatment on day care basis. Consultation and proper guidance is being provided presently, by oncologist. The main objective of this department is to develop first class leading edge cancer services.

Radiology Department
The role of Radiology in managing patients is undoubtedly of paramount importance. The radiology department at GINUM is equipped with latest 4 D Color Doppler Ultrasound, portable Ultrasound Unit and Digital X-ray unit. Digital Mammography is also being performed, using needle-based imaging plates (pioneer in Pakistan) which greatly improves resolution and reduces patient dose. Ultrasound guided FNA and core biopsies are done routinely. We also have a mobile Mammography unit, which is one of its kind in the whole region.

Medical Physics Department is ensuring Radiation Protection & Quality Control in Nuclear Medicine & Radiology Departments in accordance with the International Guidelines. All quality assurance tests are performed regularly according to international standards.

Clinical and RIA Labs
Clinical and RIA Labs At GINUM, Clinical and RIA labs have been established with skilled manpower, having fully automated biochemistry and hematology analyzers. This makes the results more reliable by reducing the manual errors. RIA lab is equipped with latest gamma counter.

Walk in Breast Clinic
Walk in Breast Clinic aims to provide adequate and timely consultation as regards to the diagnostic and therapeutic guidance for breast diseases. It also aims to increase the level of general awareness about the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer. We provide cancer screening services for breast cancer. In this regard we have already arranged large scale awareness seminars and free mammography screening camps.
